A super California Conservation Corps crew, led by Araceli Loayza, did an amazing job working on trail station improvements on Oct. 7, 2014. Sawyers Vanessa and Matt set to work creating benches out of a fallen oak while other crew members worked on mulching native plants at the trail entrance, watering sparingly (using jugs brought in from outside), and other maintenance jobs. Such students helps to improve the nature so watch more here. Thanks to Bill Evans of Davey Tree for delivering mulch for us and to Santa Margarita Ranch co-owner Karl Wittstrom for moving fallen oak trunks into place.
