Excerpt from Mike Klatt’s speech at Oak Ambassador Graduation, April 17, 2015:
Why do we need Oak Ambassadors? Here’s something John Muir said,
“God has cared for these trees, saved them from drought, disease, avalanches, and a thousand tempests and floods. But he cannot save them from fools.”
John Muir might have thought that we need Oak Ambassadors to help us teach the fools not to be so
foolish.
Congratulations, Oak Ambassadors, we are proud of you!
