Oak Ambassador and LATO Docent Learning Center

What is an Oak Ambassador?

Oak Ambassadors are young people, 4th grade and above, who have completed at least ten weeks of specialized training to serve as competent nature guides for other children, families and community members exploring local oak woodland trails. Training programs start in January each year at Learning Among the Oaks public school partner campuses in Arroyo Grande (Ocean View Elementary School), Santa Margarita (Santa Margarita Elementary School) and Templeton (Vineyard Elementary School).
